Fairy Magic

Long, long ago, fairies and human folk lived side by side. They played together and worked together and helped each other. The fairies loved to help the human folk with their fairy magic. But as time went on, human folk lost touch with their hearts and feelings. Some of them became cruel and heartless. Small boys could often be found chasing and pulling their wings off. This made the fairies frightened and angry. The fairy king wanted to have all the fairies withdraw and keep to the borders of their own land. He wanted to hide them from the eyes of men, and withhold their magic from the world. But the fairy queen objected. "They are not bad and cruel," she said. "And if we withdraw completely, they will forget us. How will the children to come ever remember there is magic in the world? We can't leave them alone without our help." So instead, the fairy king granted all fairies the ability to become visible and invisible at will, so that if they should ever find a human being that felt full of heart and feelings, they could appear and grant magic. Many years passed, and the humans at first missed the presence of their flying friends. But after a while they began to forget that there was ever real magic in the world. They began to believe that fairies were just a children's story. And when, as happened once in a great while, someone appeared with a story of having seen a fairy, everyone just said, "he must have been dreaming. "The fairies, who shared their queen's love of human kind, grew more and more frustrated and lonely. How could they help and share their magic, when the humans refused to see them or believe they existed? One clever fairy devised a way. As you may or may not know fairies live forever. But every so often they shed their old and tattered wings and grow a new pair. This clever fairy, one day, looked at her old wings and thought to herself, "There is magic in them, still. I could leave them somewhere for humans to find. I will fill them with a silent song. If the humans has heart to hear, they will be drawn to the song and find my wings. The magic in them will fill the human's life and bring them joy and luck. "She told another fairy of her idea. And that fairy told another, and another and another, and so on, until all the fairies were joined in agreement. This was a wonderful idea! One fairy had the idea to change the form of the wings, so that they could appear as other things. They were all so happy to have a way to help human folk again, they danced in the air! From that day on, fairies have been leaving their wings for us to find. Look carefully if you see an interesting seed pod, or rock. It might not be a rock at all. Sometimes they look like the skeletons of leaves, or brightly coloured feathers. Sometimes they look like the loveliest of flowers. But no matter what form they take, if you listen you can hear the fairy song silently thrumming through it. If you have heart to hear, and you find yourself drawn to some odd stone or twig, pick it up and take it home. The magic in it will bring you joy and luck. For it is fairy magic, truly.     REMEMBER THE MAGIC ************************************************  Flavia-Kate Peters Faerie Land belongs in a realm of its own, in a place hidden within our world, like an invisible bubble. Faeries are made up of energy & light, vibrating at a very high frequency which is why it can be difficult to see them. They can, however, slow down these vibrations, so that their bodies can take on a denser form which we are able to see in our physical world - if we are lucky! We are more likely to see faeries when we are relaxed or meditating:   Connecting with the World of Fae - MEDITATION   With your eyes closed, take a deep breath - inhale and release, inhale and release - letting your  breath remain deep but steady.   As you continue to breathe you begin to sense a smell - something quite familiar - what is it, you know this scent, you recognise it - but can't quite grasp it. You know it is from memories long, long ago.Something comforting but also amazing - something that you connect with at the deepest level. And then in  your minds eye you find that you are sitting against a tree. Your back leans against the rough bark and you feel the spongy green moss beneath you. You can hear the beautiful song of birds ......................... As you look around, you see mighty, majestic trees surrounding you - see the bright green of their leaves as the sunlight streams through. It is beautiful and you notice that as the shafts of bright golden light shine through the trees, they meet together - as one blast of blinding light - in a clearing just in front of you. Your eyes squint at the brightness, but you cannot take your eyes off this sight - it's like nature's own treasure chest of gold.   The light is getting larger and brighter and expands out, getting nearer and nearer to  you - and you feel more and more comforted, more and more at peace and you just know that this is the light of the Divine, the light of the Mother coming to nurture you and to fill you with her goodness.   Breathe in the light ................. feel it fill your heart ..... feel your heart expand like a flower opening ....... breathing this pure light energy in, as it fills your body - all the way down through the legs, into the feet and out of the soles of your feet, into the ground - down into the Earth ............. and you instantly feel a connection with the energy of the Earth, the Earth magic mixing with the light that is now within you and part of you. Breathe this new energy up - the mixture of earth energy and your own Divine light - feel it as you draw it up in through your feet, up your legs - feel the surge as it rushes to fill your entire body, breathe it in as this amazing light cleanses every cell, every vessel .............................. moving on up through the throat, moving through your face, filling  your head  and bursting out of your crown - up and up - reaching to the highest levels of love .................... and feel and see the light expanding outwards - showering down on you all around you. This beautiful light of protection, love and magic energy - filling you, surrounding you and connecting  you with below and above.   Bathe in this glorious light, soaking in the Divine energy - feeling every part of you coming alive.   As the sun moves round, the shafts of light are hidden from the trees and your eyes adjust slowly. You are beginning to see the woodland that you are sitting in. Just there you see some movement, a spark of light - no, two or three - no more, many more...... and with a rub of your eyes, you see in front of you 'tiny' folk - yes faeries, but 'oh' also elves and other beings who have come to greet you. So many of them, all approaching - some smiling and some looking very shy. Take some time to be introduced and then introduce yourself. Open your heart, so that they know they can trust you. Find out what these magickal beings have come to tell you - what do they want you to know?   What would you like to tell them? What would you like their help with?    One of  your new friends whispers their name and another puts something in your hand.   Dusk is falling, and you feel a chill - it is time for you to come back and so you say your goodbyes. You feel such joy, such amazement that you have just connected with the faerie realm, you have been chosen as a faerie confident and you know that you can connect with these new friends any time, for they will always be there for you.   But how are you able to leave this place of  magick and wonder?  - and then it comes to you, quite clearly ........................... you breathe .............. deeply ................ taking a deep inhale and exhale, inhale and exhale, inhale and gently open your eyes.
